Why Grace?

Since Grace Holidays began in April 2003, we have been asked many times, ''Why GRACE Holidays? - Is it your name?'' So, in case you're wondering why too, I'd like to answer that question for you. The answer is, Yes, it's my middle name, but that's not the reason?

Let me tell you the real reason.

Throughout life, we all go through great times of testing and trial. We experience things we don't understand - things that seem too great to overcome. Sickness, the loss of a loved one, financial problems, job loss, disasters - and we think particularly at this time of the recent events in London, and indeed across the world, and the great sadness and grief that so many are experiencing.

Sometimes the weight of loss and confusion may feel too heavy to bear, and we become afraid of the future, and afraid of the unknown. Very often, there are no answers, and there seems to be no way forward - just the question 'Why?'

But I want to tell you something precious today...

God gives grace.

It is by His grace we are saved, and have fellowship with Him.
It is by His grace we have peace with God.
It is by His grace we can boldly enter into His Holy presence and call Him Father.
It is by His grace that we can exchange sadness for overflowing joy.
It is by His grace that we can exchange our fear for power, love and a sound mind.
It is by His grace that we can have peace that passes understanding.

So, no matter what you need today, His grace is sufficient to meet that need.

Let me ask you something.

Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour?

The Bible says 'All have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard.' and 'the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.'

It goes on to say 'God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.'

That's grace - a Holy God reaching down to sinful humanity, reaching down to a lost and scared world and ministering His peace into our hearts.

If you're not sure today that you've entered into this relationship with God, you can talk to Him, right now, asking Him to forgive you for everything you've done wrong, and then you will begin to know the peace and forgiveness that only Jesus can give.

So... now you know why Grace!
